The FUT Gallery is one of the biggest new features coming to Ultimate Team in FC 27, giving you a new reason to collect players beyond simply using them in your squad.
The easiest way to think about it is almost like a sticker book.
As eligible Player Items pass through your Club, they're recorded in your FUT Gallery. You can then use those collected players to complete different Gallery Sets, improve your Set Grades and work towards rewards.
And importantly, you don't necessarily need to keep the player in your Club forever. Once an eligible item has been registered, selling it or using it elsewhere won't simply wipe that collection progress.
There's quite a lot more to the system than just collecting cards though, so here's everything you need to know about the FUT Gallery in FC 27.

What Is the FUT Gallery in FC 27?
The FUT Gallery is a new collection system being introduced in FC 27 Ultimate Team.
Throughout the year, you'll naturally collect loads of different Player Items through packs, SBCs, Objectives, rewards and the Transfer Market.
The Gallery keeps track of eligible items you've collected and gives you something else to do with that collection.
Instead of the only question being:
“Is this player good enough for my team?”
you could now also care about whether that player helps complete or improve one of your Gallery Sets.
That's where the sticker-book comparison makes sense.
You're gradually building a record of the players you've collected throughout FC 27, but unlike a basic sticker book, there's an actual progression and reward system built around it.

How Does the FUT Gallery Work?
The basic process is fairly straightforward.
As you acquire eligible Player Items, they'll be registered within your Gallery.
Those collected items can then be used to fill Gallery Sets.
Sets can be based around different themes, including things like leagues, clubs, nations and campaigns.
Once you've got the required players available within your Gallery, you can add them to the Set manually or use the autocomplete option.
Completing and improving these Sets contributes towards your overall Gallery progression and can unlock rewards.
So, in simple terms:
Collect players → Complete Gallery Sets → Improve Set Grades → Increase Gallery progression → Earn rewards
Which Players Count Towards Your FUT Gallery?
Most Player Items you obtain throughout FUT can potentially become part of your Gallery.
That includes eligible items obtained through things like:
- Packs
- The Transfer Market
- SBCs
- Objectives
- Other FUT rewards
There are some exceptions worth knowing about.
Loan Items don't count towards your Gallery.
Evolution Items are also handled slightly differently. EA says the Gallery represents these through the player's original base item before the Evolution.
We'll be able to see exactly how all of this behaves once FC 27 launches, but for most of the players you collect throughout the year, the Gallery should gradually fill naturally as you play.
What Are Gallery Sets in FC 27?
Gallery Sets are where your collection actually becomes useful.
Rather than simply showing every card you've ever collected, the Gallery gives you different themed Sets to work towards.
EA has shown that these can be based around areas such as leagues, clubs, nations and campaigns, alongside custom Sets.
You'll then use eligible Player Items you've collected to fill the required slots.
I think this is where the Gallery becomes much more interesting than simply being a checklist.
You'll have specific collections to work towards throughout FC 27 rather than just watching one massive percentage slowly increase.
And completing a Set isn't necessarily the end of it either.

How Do FUT Gallery Set Grades Work?
Gallery Sets can also receive a Set Grade.
The grade depends on the Items you've used within that Set and their Item Scores.
This means you could potentially complete a Gallery Set and then return to improve it later as you collect better versions of eligible players.
For example, you might initially be working with standard Gold Items.
Later in FC 27, as you collect Campaign Items or other more valuable versions, you could have opportunities to improve the quality of that Set and its grade.
That gives the Gallery some actual long-term progression.
You're not necessarily just ticking a collection off once and never looking at it again.

What Is Item Score in the FUT Gallery?
If you've already read our guide to FC 27 Streamlined SBCs, you'll recognise Item Score.
It's used across both systems.
Each eligible Item contributes a score based on factors including its overall rating and rarity.
Within the Gallery, these Item Scores contribute towards the score and grade of your Sets.
Higher quality versions of players can therefore become useful even if you've already collected that player before.
One thing we don't know yet is the exact Item Score formula.
EA has explained what contributes towards Item Score, but we don't yet have the full scoring values needed to say exactly how much every rating or rarity is worth.
That's something we'll be able to properly analyse once FC 27 launches.
What Is Gallery Level in FC 27?
Your individual Sets aren't the only form of progression.
FC 27 also has an overall Gallery Level.
As you progress through the Gallery and improve your collection, you'll work towards increasing this level.
Reaching Gallery milestones can then unlock rewards.
This gives you a longer-term progression path alongside the individual Sets you're trying to complete.
For players who already enjoy collecting cards rather than purely building the most meta squad possible, I can see this becoming a pretty addictive part of FUT.

What Rewards Can You Earn From the FUT Gallery?
The obvious question is whether filling the Gallery is actually worth doing.
And yes, there are rewards attached.
EA has confirmed Gallery progression can provide rewards including cosmetics and Gallery Tokens, alongside other rewards throughout the system.
Those Gallery Tokens can then be spent through the Gallery Token Store.
EA has shown rewards such as:
- Kits
- Badges
- Other Gallery rewards
- Hall of FUT Items
The Gallery Token Store will also change throughout the season, so this isn't necessarily a reward pool that stays identical for the whole of FC 27.
Higher Gallery milestones can provide larger rewards too, including opportunities to earn Holographic Items.
What Are Gallery Tags?
Tags add another layer to Gallery Sets.
Rather than every Set simply being about filling every available slot with the highest Item Score possible, Tags can reward you for using particular combinations or types of Player Items.
These can involve requirements around different Item types, including standard Gold and Campaign Items.
That potentially gives you another decision to make when building out a Set.
A card might not simply be useful because it has the highest Item Score available — it could also help you satisfy a particular Tag.
We'll need to get hands-on with the live Gallery before judging how important Tags actually become, but they should give players another reason to experiment with the Items they've collected.

What Are Holographic Items in FC 27?
Holographic Items are another new addition connected to the Gallery.
These are rarer versions of eligible special Player Items with a unique visual presentation.
The important thing to understand is:
Holographic Items do not have better in-game stats than their normal equivalent.
You're not getting a faster, stronger or better version of the player.
The difference is their rarity and appearance.
EA has revealed two types:
Holographic Items
These feature a special animated foil-style presentation.
Pristine Holographic Items
Pristine Holographic Items take that presentation even further, including additional premium visual details.
These Items can still be used in your squad and can also be displayed as part of your Gallery collection.
For anyone who enjoys the collecting side of Ultimate Team, I can see these becoming some of the most desirable cards in FC 27 regardless of whether they offer an actual gameplay advantage.

Do You Lose Gallery Progress If You Sell a Player?
No, provided the eligible Item has already been registered in your Gallery.
This is probably one of the most important things to understand about the entire feature.
The Gallery is designed to remember eligible Player Items that have passed through your Club.
That means you don't need to permanently keep every card sitting in your Club just because you want it recorded in the Gallery.
If you later sell or otherwise use an eligible registered Item, its collection record can remain.
That makes the whole system considerably more practical.
Imagine needing to permanently hold hundreds of random players just to maintain your Gallery progress. Thankfully, that's not the idea here.
FUT Gallery and Streamlined SBCs
This is where two of FC 27's biggest new systems start to connect.
Both the FUT Gallery and Streamlined SBCs use Item Score.
Within Streamlined SBCs, eligible Items contribute Item Score towards the target needed to complete the challenge.
Within the FUT Gallery, Item Score helps determine the quality and grade of your Gallery Sets.
That means Item Score could become something we're paying far more attention to throughout FC 27.
Instead of only looking at a player's overall rating, market price and in-game ability, their value within these new systems could become another consideration.
You can read our full FC 27 Streamlined SBCs guide for a breakdown of how the new SBC system works.
Everything We Know About the FC 27 FUT Gallery
If you're still trying to get your head around the new system, these are the main things to remember:
- FUT Gallery records eligible Player Items you've collected.
- You don't necessarily need to keep an Item forever for it to remain registered.
- Gallery Sets are built around different collections and themes.
- Sets can receive different grades.
- Item Score contributes towards Set quality and is based on factors including OVR and rarity.
- Your Gallery has its own progression and Gallery Level.
- Gallery progression can unlock rewards and Gallery Tokens.
- Gallery Tokens can be spent through the Gallery Token Store.
- Tags can reward specific combinations of Items within Sets.
- Holographic and Pristine Holographic Items introduce rarer collectible versions of eligible special Items.
- Holographic Items don't receive improved gameplay stats simply for being Holographic.
- Item Score is also used for FC 27 Streamlined SBCs.
Ultimate Team has obviously always had a collecting element, but for a lot of players there hasn't been much reason to care about a card once it leaves your starting XI or loses its market value.
The Gallery gives those cards another purpose and, importantly, gives you something persistent to build throughout the year.
