EA FC 26 Meta Rating Update – Playstyles, Lengthy & Rating Rebalance
Meta Ratings adjusted to match the FC 26 meta, Lengthy movement and rating scale
Nuno Samarro · 23 Jan 2026
We’ve released a new EasySBC Meta Rating update to better align our system with the evolving EA FC 26 meta.
This update focuses on three key areas: Playstyle adjustments, Lengthy Accelerate tuning, and a global rebalance of Meta Ratings.
If you’ve noticed that many Meta Ratings are lower than before, this change is intentional. Below, we explain why it’s important and how it improves the Meta Rating system going forward.
Playstyles Adjusted to Fit the Current Meta
As gameplay evolves, the effectiveness of Playstyles changes as well.
In this update, we’ve adjusted Playstyles across positions to ensure they reflect the current FC 26 meta.
This ensures Playstyles continue to add value in a way that matches how the game is actually being played.
Lengthy Accelerate Rebalanced Across All Roles
Lengthy Accelerate has clearly established itself as a dominant movement style in EA FC 26.
We’ve updated how Lengthy is valued across all roles so that its impact is accurately represented in the Meta Rating system.
Why Meta Ratings Are Lower Overall
This update includes a global reduction in Meta Ratings, and it’s one of the most important changes we’ve made.
Previously, ratings could scale too quickly, which caused:
- Evolution cards to reach very high Meta Ratings early
- Less separation at the top of the rating scale
- Limited room for future promo cards
By lowering the overall scale:
- TOTY cards now fit naturally at the top of the Meta Rating system
- Evolution cards scale more realistically over time
- Meta Ratings remain meaningful throughout the full game cycle
How Tiers Help You Interpret the Meta
Even though many cards now have lower Meta Ratings, tiers remain the key reference point.
Cards that are still rated S tier continue to be among the best players in the game, regardless of their exact Meta Rating number.
The tier system ensures that top-performing cards remain easy to identify, even as the overall rating scale is rebalanced.
In short, lower numbers don’t mean weaker cards — they mean a healthier and more future-proof Meta Rating system.
Final Thoughts
This update strengthens the EasySBC Meta Rating by:
- Aligning Playstyles with the current EA FC 26 meta
- Accurately valuing Lengthy Accelerate across roles
- Rebalancing ratings to properly support TOTY cards and Evolutions
We’ll continue monitoring gameplay trends and adjust the Meta Rating as the meta evolves.
