EA FC 26 Meta Rating Update – Passing Meta & Playstyle Changes

We’ve rolled out a new EasySBC Meta Rating update to reflect the latest shifts in the EA FC 26 meta. This update focuses mainly on passing Playstyles, along with some tweaks to overall passing impact and smaller balancing changes across the board.

Playstyle Changes in the Current Meta

Several key Playstyles have shifted in value based on how the game is currently played:

• Tiki Taka has been lowered in value. Short passing remains strong, but players no longer need this Playstyle to perform quick combinations, as more players can now execute these passes effectively.

• Inventive has gained value. With recent gameplay changes, double-tap passes are now more reliable when using it—making it especially effective in the final third.

• Pinged Pass is a key Playstyle for midfielders, offering consistent and fast distribution under pressure.

We’ve also made smaller adjustments across multiple Playstyles and increased overall importance of passing stats to ensure Meta Ratings stay aligned with the current meta.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this update reflects a shift toward a slightly slower, more passing- and dribbling-focused meta in EA FC 26. We’ll keep monitoring the meta closely and continue adjusting the Meta Rating as gameplay evolves.
